RECONSTRUCTION OF STRONG WOMEN IN RACHEL PLATTEN'S SONG ‘GIRLS’: A FEMINIST CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS

Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana lagu‘Girls’ karya Rachel Platten, yang dirilis pada tahun 2024, menyampaikan gambaran yang kuat tentang perempuan dalam konteks budaya populer pada periode pasca-pandemi. Lagu ini dipilih karena secara eksplisit menyampaikan narasi pemberdayaan perempuan melalui metafora naturalistik, kata-kata positif, dan pesan solidaritas yangmudah diakses oleh pendengar. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan analisis wacana feminis (FDA) yang diperkenalkan oleh Michelle Lazar pada tahun 20025. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengadopsi kerangka teoritis feminisme eksistensial yang diperkenalkan oleh filsuf feminis terkenal Simone de Beauvoir pada tahun1949. Data utama untuk penelitian ini adalah lirik lagu, yang akan dianalisis pada tingkat analisis wacana teks, praktik wacana, dan praktik sosial. Dengan menganalisis metode-metode tersebut, penelitian ini menemukan citra perempuan yang kuat dalam lagu ‘Girls’, yang mewujudkan kerangka kerja ilmiah ‘perempuan kuat’ dengan berperilaku sangat reflektif dan rasional.Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan tingkat solidaritas yang tinggi dalam lagu ‘Girls’, terutama dalam perlawanannya terhadap ‘wacana patriarkal’. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa lirik lagu populer tidak hanya mengandung pesan ‘hiburan yang menyenangkan’, tetapi juga pesan ‘hiburan yang menyenangkan’. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan tingkat solidaritas yang tinggi dalam lagu ‘Girls’, terutama dalam perlawanannya terhadap ‘wacana patriarkal’. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa lirik lagu populer tidak hanya mengandung pesan ‘hiburan yang menyenangkan’, tetapi juga pesan ‘hiburan yang menyenangkan’. Selain itu, penelitian menemukan tingkat solidaritas yang tinggi dalam lagu ‘Girls’,terutama dalam perlawanannya terhadap ‘diskursus patriarkal’. Oleh karena itu, penelitianini membuktikan bahwa lirik lagu populer tidak hanya mengandung pesan ‘hiburan yang menyenangkan’tetapi juga mewakili platform kesadaran feminis ideologisuntuk rekonstruksi identitas perempuan dalam budaya populer.
