Abstract

In particular Solok UMMY student enrollment year 2013 A researcher interviewed, most students said the difficulty in studying subjects algebraic structure. The reason given students include: subject algebraic structure is subject elusive and too abstract. Study results subject algebraic structure low. This is caused by kurangtepatnya learning model used. The research problems is the extent STAD cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes subject algebraic structures in mathematics education Prodi 13A MAT UMMY Solok. This research is a classroom action research (classroom action research) conducted three cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, action, observation and reflection. Subjects were students of mathematics education Prodi MAT 13A UMMY Solok with the number of students 22 people. Data was collected through field notes and test results belajar.Teknik data analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students increased from the first cycle to the third cycle. The percentage of student results on the first cycle of 59.10%, an increase of 3.63% in the second cycle into 72.73%. From the second cycle to the third cycle increased by 4.54%, so at the end of the study reached 77.27%. So learning STAD Cooperative Learning Model can improve learning outcomes of the course structure 13A MAT algebra math education Prodi UMMY Solok.
