Understanding the concept is one very important aspect of the learning process. However, students understanding of mathematical concepts in the Calculus 2 course is still low. This study aims to describe the data on increasing students' understanding of mathematical concepts through contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). This type of research is classroom Action Research which has been carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are even semester students in 2011/2012. Data were analyzed descriptively from Student Worksheets (LKM), quizzes, and tests. The results showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts from cycle I (31.6%) to cycle 2 (68.4%).
