UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 03 KOTO BANGUN KECAMATAN KAPUR IX MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN NUMBER HEADS TOGETHER PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DALAM MATERI SIMETRIS

Abstract

 This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted by Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The steps consist of, planning, action, reflection, and observation. The subject of PTK was grade IV students of SD Negeri 03 Koto Bangun Kapur District IX with a total of 16 students. Classroom action is carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques through observation, observation, and documentation. In each cycle there are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. At the end of the cycle tests are used which are used to measure student learning achievement. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results of this study indicate that an increase in mathematical learning achievement using the Number Head Together cooperative model in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 03 Koto Bangun Kapur IX District. Based on the results of research and discussion conducted in class IV SD Negeri 03 Koto Bangun Kapur District IX it can be concluded that learning activities through the application of the number head together (NHT) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics. This is indicated by the increase in the average value of student learning outcomes and the percentage of student learning completeness. The average value of student learning outcomes from pre cycle, cycle I, and cycle II which was originally 60.63 to 75.31 and increased to 85.63 While the percentage of students' learning completeness in sequence from pre cycle, cycle I, cycle II increased from 12.50% to 56.25% and increased again to 100%.
