Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the improvement of teacher competence in the implementation of the learning process through classroom visit supervision at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Kec, Lareh Sago Halaban in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Kec. Lareh Sago Halaban, with the research subjects consisting of 8 teachers. The action in this study was to carry out classroom visit supervision in the implementation of the learning process at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Kec. Lareh Sago Halaban. This PTS was carried out in two cycles, where in each cycle there were four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that in cycle I, 87.5% of teachers already had at least good competence in the implementation of the learning process, but there were still 12.5% who had sufficient competence. Because it has not yet reached the predetermined research success indicators. So the research continued to cycle II. The results of cycle II show that 100% of teachers already have at least good competence in the implementation of the learning process, this means that the research success indicator has been achieved. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that classroom visit supervision can improve teacher competence in carrying out the learning process at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Kec. Lareh Sago Halaban in the 2022/2023 academic year.
