Abstract

This research is motivated because the use of media when learning circles in schools is still lacking. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid and practical math pop up book. This type of research is development research (Research And Development), using the Ploomp development design. The development of pop up book media through three stages. The first stage is Prelimenary Research. The second stage is Development or Prototyping Phase. The third stage is Assessment Phase. The instruments used are questionnaires for material, language, media experts, educator responses, and students. The test subjects in this study were students of class VIII D SMPN 4 Solok City as many as 28 people. Based on data analysis, the validation of questionnaires from material experts, media experts, and linguists reached 91.33% with a very valid category, 76.74% with a valid category ,and and 90% with a very valid category. Practicality by students reached 83.70% with a very practical category and 90.74% educators with a very practical category. Based on these stages, the resulting pop up book is very valid and very practical.
