Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning stage, the action implementation stage, the observation stage, and the reflection stage. Based on the results of research and discussion, it was found that the average percentage of teacher activity in the first cycle was 75%, and increased in the second cycle to 99%. For student activity, it was found that the average percentage of student activity in the first cycle was 84%, and increased in the second cycle to 96%. Judging from the results of students' mathematics learning, it was found that the percentage of students who completed mathematics learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was 66.7%, then increased to 77.8% in the first cycle, and in the second cycle again increased so that the percentage of completion was 94.4%. So it can be concluded that the application of the snowball throwing type of cooperative learning model can improve mathematics learning outcomes for grade VI students of SD Negeri 01 Sungai Beringin for the 2018/2019 school year.
