Abstract

Mathematics which is abstract in nature becomes a bit boring for elementary school level students. Therefore, it is necessary to use media in learning mathematics so that learning is effective. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the effectiveness of the use of media in learning mathematics in grade V SD Negeri 07 Talawi Hilir in the 2019/2020 academic year? The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of media in learning mathematics in grade V SD Negeri 07 Talawi Hilir in the 2019/2020 academic year. The instruments in this study were test questions and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the research presented, it was found that 80% of students had obtained learning outcomes above the KKM, and 86.7% of students gave a positive response to the use of media in mathematics learning at SD Negeri 07 Talawi Hilir in the 2019/2020 academic year. So it can be concluded that the use of media in learning mathematics in grade V SD Negeri 07 Talawi Hilir for the 2019/2020 academic year is effective.
