Abstract

Formulation of the problem in this research is “Is the students’ mathematic learning outcome by using hand out are better than without using hand out in cooperative learning think-pair-share type?”. Hypothesis in this research is the students learning outcome by using handout is better than without using hand-out in cooperative learning think-pair-share type atclass VIISMP Negeri 3 Kota Solok. This research is quasi experiment. The population in this research is the students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Solok who are registered on study year 2015/2016. Sample in this research is the class VII1 as a experiment class that consist of 24 students and class VII2 as a control class that consist of 23 students. technique of gathering data in this research is by using study outcome test that inclue by 6 item essay test. The data analysis of students learning outcome are found tcount = 1,74 and ttable = 1,6785, so that  so that hypothesis is accept in trust level 95%. It can conclude that the students’ learning outcome by using hand-outis better than without using hand-outon cooperative learning TPS type to class VII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Solok.
