PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VII SMPN 2 GUNUNG TALANG

The purpose of this study is to determine the results of learning mathematics learners with the application of learning discovery learning model is better than the application of conventional learning model in class VII at SMPN 2 Gunung Talang. This research type is quasi experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design research design. The population in this study is the students of class VII SMPN 2 Gunung Talang, with Cluster Random Sampling sampling technique and the selected sample is the class VIIc students as the experimental class with the number of 32 people and class VIIe as the control class with the number of 32 people. After the data analysis, both samples were distributed normally and homogeneously at the real level. The data analysis technique used is one-party z-test. Based on calculations obtained zhitung = 1.33 and ztabel = 0.408. At the level of confidence 95, means thitung ttable then H0 rejected and H1 accepted, in the sense of learning outcomes mathematics learners with the application of discovery learning learning model is better than the application of conventional learning model in SMPN 2 Gunung Talang.
