Abstract

The problems in mathematics learning at SDN 04 Sungai Talang include learning models that are not varied, students 'learning motivation is still low and students' mathematics learning outcomes are not satisfactory. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the mathematics learning outcomes of third grade students of SDN 04 Sungai Talang can be increased through the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is often referred to as Classroom Action Research. The cycle in action research begins with planning, application of action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were class III SDN 04 Sungai Talang students in the 2017/2018 academic year as many as 26 people. The achievement percentage of KKM students in the first cycle was 65%, increasing by 20% in the second cycle to 85%. So that it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes through STAD type cooperative learning in class III SDN 04 Sungai Talang in the 2017/2018 academic year.
