Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the results of learning mathematics students with the application of quiz on the model of collaborative learning is better than the application of collaborative learning model without quiz in class VII in SMPN 3 Kota Solok. This research type is quasi experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design research design. The population in this research is the students of class VII SMPN 3 Kota Solok, with Cluster Random Sampling sampling technique and the selected sample are the VII5 class students as the experimental class with the number of 27 people and the VII1 class as the control class with the number of 26 people. After data analysis, both samples were distributed normal and homogeneous on the level of ? = 0,05. Data analysis technique used is one-party t test. Based on calculations obtained thitung tcount = 2,57 and ttable = 1,95. At the 95% level of trust, tcount > ttable then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, in the sense of students mathematics learning outcomes with the application of quiz on the model of collaborative learning is better than the application of collaborative learning without quiz in SMPN 3 Kota Solok.
