PENERAPAN STRATEGI LEARNING STARTS WITH A QUESTION TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII MTsN KOTO BARU SOLOK

Formulation problems in this research was “do the ability problem solving mathematics students VIII MTsN Koto Baru Solok by applying strategy lsq better than the ability problem solving students without strategy LSQ?. Research aims to understand the ability problem solving mathematics students MTsN Koto Baru Solok by applying Strategy LSQ better than the ability problem solving students without strategy LSQ. A kind of this research is quasi experiment. Population in research is a whole students VIII MTsN Koto Baru Solok registered in the lessons 2015/2016 except local because it is local superior. The technique of sample collection is clusters random sampling because after undergone a homogeneity population by test bartlet, obtained population homogeneous. A class elected is class as a class his experiments with the number of students 36 people and class as a class control and the number of students 37 people. Technique analysis the data used was the difference of two average test z. based on the calculation of obtained = 3,6911 and = 1,64 this means h0 were rejected and h1 accepted. So can be concluded the ability problem solving mathematics students MTsN Koto Baru Solok by applying strategy LSQ better than the ability problem solving mathematics students without strategy LSQ.
