PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE MODELLING THE WAY DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN HANDOUT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 1 KOTA SOLOK

One of the factors that lead to low results of students learning mathematics is only recorded and listening to the explanations of the teacher, the teacher is still a center of learning in class. Therefore, teachers should be able to use a learning model that involves students actively in order not centered anymore to the teacher. The hypothesis of this study is the result of students' mathematics learning with active learning types Modeling the Way by using Hand Out is better than active learning types Modeling the Way without Hand Out. This research is a quasi experiment using randomized designs Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were students of class VII Regular SMPN1 Solok enrolled in the academic year 2014/2015. The sample in this research is class VII C as a class experiment with the number of students 38 and class VII D as a class control the number of students 35 people. The data analysis technique used is the equation of the two averages z test. From the calculation, and Ztable= 1.67 and Ztest = 1.71, indicates that Ztest> Ztable. It can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students with active learning types Modeling the Way by using Hand Out is better than active learning types Modeling the Way without Hand Out in class VII SMPN1 Solok.
